SMALL Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday
Join us in support of national Small Business Saturday! The day after 'Black Friday', you can continue your holiday shopping with our local vendors, representing small businesses in Bradford and Union counties.

These vendors don't have storefronts and are often overlooked, but supporting them keeps money in our local economy and helps small businesses stay open and supporting their families.

Santa supports small businesses! He'll be at the event, too! Hosted by Shannon Whitaker Photography, appointm...
ents for meet and greet Santa professional portraits will be available. (Santa photos are currently SOLD OUT)

Shopping will be another highlight of the afternoon with vendors offering candles; purses and personalized bags; kitchen goods; handmade hair bows; crochet items; homemade cakes, jellies and sauces; homewares and more.

Bradford County FFA will host a plant sale on the front porch.

Local Girl Scout members will be selling drinks and snacks to raise money for sister Girl Scouts who have lost their uniforms in Hurricane Sandy!

Trick or Treaten Southern Style

Halloween Southern Style.

There is nothing like a good hay ride around your local town with family and friends. I would like to thank all the generous folks in Lake Butler that sat out on their front porches and handed out candy to all the little ghosts, monsters and princesses. I know how much a bag of candy cost and I saw first hand the large number of kids that trick-or-treated last night. The churches in town opened their doors and served hot chocolate and had pumpkins everywhere. It made for a great pit stop and picture opportunity. We laughed and tried our best to "carry a tune in a bucket" as they say. That made us laugh even more. For some little treaters it was their first Halloween hayride. I know they will look forward to the next one bacause the smiles on their faces were priceless. Some folks had a Halloween cookout mixed with some football watching. There were many bets made between huband and wives. Here is just one gator wife that lost a bet to a dawg husband.

I am not sure who will really lose the bet when the day is over because making a woman pay up on a bet never works out with a win for the husband. Anyway, here are a few treaters that had a good time last night.
