Halloween Southern Style.
There is nothing like a good hay ride around your local town with family and friends. I would like to thank all the generous folks in Lake Butler that sat out on their front porches and handed out candy to all the little ghosts, monsters and princesses. I know how much a bag of candy cost and I saw first hand the large number of kids that trick-or-treated last night. The churches in town opened their doors and served hot chocolate and had pumpkins everywhere. It made for a great pit stop and picture opportunity. We laughed and tried our best to "carry a tune in a bucket" as they say. That made us laugh even more. For some little treaters it was their first Halloween hayride. I know they will look forward to the next one bacause the smiles on their faces were priceless. Some folks had a Halloween cookout mixed with some football watching. There were many bets made between huband and wives. Here is just one gator wife that lost a bet to a dawg husband.
I am not sure who will really lose the bet when the day is over because making a woman pay up on a bet never works out with a win for the husband. Anyway, here are a few treaters that had a good time last night.
