Don't you just love going to weddings? I do. The pageantry
of a southern wedding is refreshing. I love a good punch fountain and a wedding
cake that someone's aunt made special for them. For the most part people smile
at weddings and get all duded up. Also, kids finally get to participate and get
recognized for a day in a very grown up event. I have even seen someone
arrested at their wedding, as a joke of course, thanks Aunt Martha for having
my husband carted off in the back of a police car.
You also never know
who is going to show up and there is always one unique "thing" the
bride thinks up to make her wedding day different from everyone else’s. It seems an old trend is emerging and turning
her wedding day into an event to remember. Photo booths. Well, not the booth
you sit in, but an area with picture frames on a table or hanging from a tree.
Couples and groups hold the frame up and someone takes their picture with a disposable
camera.
Also on the table are a few props (hats, mustache on a stick,
funny glasses and coats). You can really have fun with props. Visit the
Pintrest page of Southern Times and click on "My Wedding Day" to view
all the pics of displaying frames as well as the easy made props that can make an
old traditional day a memorable new one.
